Acorn Passive Fire Protection has been appointed to provide comprehensive passive fire protection across Oakwood Park, a development of 35 high-quality apartments. Our work spans both apartment units and communal zones, ensuring full compliance with the fire strategy and regulatory requirements.

Scope of Works – Apartments

• Cable penetrations to compartment walls

• Pipe penetrations to compartment walls

• Service penetrations above entrance doors

• SVP penetrations to solid floors

• Sealing to ventilation ducts at compartment walls (sleeves by duct installer)

Scope of Works – Communal Areas

• Solid floor compound installations, including intumescent wrap protection to M&E risers

• Fire stopping to service penetrations above entrance doors (max 40mm apertures)

• Fire stopping to solid walls forming lobby and service riser compartments

• Pipework penetration sealing to maintain compartment integrity

How We Delivered

Our team worked zone-by-zone, coordinating closely with CALA Homes’ site management and M&E contractors to ensure all penetrations were sealed with tested, certified products. Each installation followed the correct test data, was fully recorded for traceability, and aligned with the fire strategy’s compartmentation map.

As construction progresses, Acorn continues supporting CALA Homes through phased completion, securing all apartment and communal penetrations and ensuring the entire development remains fully compliant.
